Production process characteristics

Vacuum melting and precision casting
Zirconium is chemically active and needs to be melted under vacuum or inert gas (argon) protection:
Vacuum arc melting: using high-purity sponge zirconium as raw material, optimizing composition uniformity through multiple melting processes;
Electron beam cold bed melting: used for nuclear grade zirconium rods, with impurity content reduced to ppm level and grain size ≤ 50 μ m.
Key technologies of plastic processing
Extrusion forming: special glass powder+molybdenum disulfide lubricant to prevent mold sticking and solve the problem of poor fluidity of zirconium alloy;
Multi directional forging: Crush the as cast microstructure at 800-950 ℃, refine grain size (≤ 100 μ m), and improve mechanical properties.
Precision heat treatment control
Precision annealing (500 ℃ as the gold point) is key - complete recrystallization structure and 10-150nm dispersed second phase synergistically enhance corrosion resistance; Temperatures above 600 ℃ can cause coarsening of precipitates and a threefold increase in corrosion rate.
