Nickel Processed Parts

Nickel Processed Parts

Nickel processed parts are parts or components made by processing nickel materials through specific processes. Nickel is an important industrial metal with excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and good electrical and thermal conductivity, therefore it is widely used in multiple fields. The manufacturing of nickel processed parts usually includes various processes such as forging, casting, cold heading, and machining to meet the needs of different application scenarios.

Hot processing technology
Forging forming: Nickel based alloys (such as Incoloy 825) experience a stress of 240 MPa at a high temperature of 980 ℃, and require multi-stage forging (local stretching → pre forging → final forging) to achieve uniform deformation, avoid folding defects, refine grain size, and improve corrosion resistance.
Hot rolling/extrusion: plastic deformation at high temperatures (1400-1600 ℃), optimizing material density, suitable for complex structural components such as aircraft engine blades.
Heat treatment strengthening
Solution treatment: Heating at 1050-1100 ℃ and rapid water quenching to eliminate internal stress and form a uniform austenite structure;
Time treatment: Tempering at 500-800 ℃, precipitation of strengthening phases to enhance hardness (HV ≥ 300) and wear resistance.

Cold processing and precision forming
Cold forging/cold drawing: Plastic deformation at room temperature enhances strength (tensile strength can reach 440 MPa or more), suitable for precision components of medical devices.
Electroforming process:
By electrolytically depositing nickel ions, micrometer level precision (tolerance ± 0.05mm) and integrated molding of complex cavity structures can be achieved;
Control current density, pH value, and temperature (25-60 ℃) to ensure uniform and dense coating.
Surface treatment technology
Electroplated nickel plating: An acidic plating solution (containing nickel sulfate and brightener) forms a protective layer of 10-50 μ m, increasing wear resistance by 30%;
Chemical nickel plating: Non electroplating process, suitable for complex pipe fittings, with a coating hardness of HRC 58-62.
